Magnify Media lands ITV's Great Art
UK distribution and rights-management outfit Magnify Media has picked up the rights to ITV series Great Art as part of an exclusive three-year distribution deal with Seventh Art Productions.
Under the terms of the agreement, Magnify Media will add 100 hours of arts and history content to its portfolio, including the ITV show, which is airing its first season on the commercial broadcaster.
A second run has already been commissioned and is expected to air in May. Magnify Media has picked up the rights to both seasons.
Introduced by curator and broadcaster Tim Marlow, artistic director of the Royal Academy of Arts, Great Art offers in-depth examinations of masters including Canaletto, Michelangelo, Rembrandt and Vermeer. It is produced by Phil Grabsky, CEO and executive producer at UK-based Seventh Art Productions.
Andrea Jackson, founder and CEO of Magnify Media, said she was confident the critical and audience acclaim Great Art has received means it “will work as well for a range of different channels and platforms.”
