Magnify Media inks global sales
UK indie distributor and rights-management specialist Magnify Media has inked a string of license deals for its finished programs across the globe.
Polsat Poland, TV2 Denmark, TVNZ New Zealand and LTV Latvia have picked up Our Everest Challenge (50 minutes), which follows TV adventurer Ben Fogle and former Olympic cyclist Victoria Pendleton as they attempt to scale the summit of Mount Everest. The documentary was produced for ITV by CNN Vision.
Also headed for TVNZ is Inside Oxford Street (4 x 60 minutes), produced by Rare TV for Channel 5, which takes viewers behind the scenes of Europe’s busiest shopping street.
Meanwhile, Histoire France has licensed the ITV series Great Art (10 x 50 minutes), which explores the personal and professional lives of some of the world’s greatest artists. Great Artwas produced by Seventh Art Productions.
Magnify has also sold two Plimsoll Productions series, for which it also acts as an exclusive distributor, and one from Plimsoll-acquired prodco Bear Hug TV. Arte France/Germany has taken Channel 5′s Wild Great Britain (8 x 45 minutes), and SVT Sweden, DRTV Denmark, BBC Africa and Poland and Foxel Australia have picked-up Channel 4′s 60-minute documentary Secrets of the 10,000 Year Old Man.
Lastly, TV2 Denmark, YLE Finland TVN Style Poland have licensed BBC3′s Hayley, produced by Bear Hug TV.
