C21: Int’l nets check into Unique B&B
Seven international buyers have purchased the rights to BBC2 factual series My Unique B&B, after the UK pubcaster recently ordered a second season of the show.
New Zealand’s national broadcaster TVNZ has bought the 15×45’ series, as well as satellite and cable buyers Grupa Canal+ (Poland), DPG Media (Belgium), RTL Living (Germany), Discovery (Germany), Foxtel (Australia) and Ananey (Israel).
The series is produced by the UK’s Plimsoll Productions with head of factual Karen Plumb as executive producer. It is sold by Plimsoll-owned distributor Magnify Media.
The show sees carpenter Simon Parfett help UK families turn anything in their homes into a side business for a bed and breakfast – from an old van to a horsebox – while showcasing a wide range of UK rural locations.
Andrea Jackson, CEO of Magnify Media said: “Each episode of My Unique B&B is escapist bliss: inspirational transformations in glorious countryside.”
